Resort Riu Palace Tropical Bay - All Inclusive (Negril, Jamaica)

The buffet restaurant at the hotel gets great praise from guests. With a variety of dishes, there is something for everyone. The quality of the food is said to be fantastic and guests love the live cooking stations and themed nights. The a la carte restaurants are also popular amongst guests.

Guests have reported that the rooms in the hotel are well appointed, with traditional colonial decor. This really gives a feel of the "real Caribbean" as opposed to hotels where the rooms are more modern.

Many guests have commented on how friendly the staff at the hotel are. Always smiling and keen to practise their English, they are happy to go over and above to ensure guests have the time of their lives at the Riu Palace Tropical Bay.

Although out of the hotel's control, many guests have been surprised at the number of mosquitos around the resort - particularly on a morning and evening. Guests are advised to take plenty of insect repellant with them.

Although guests generally love the decor of the bedrooms, some have commented that the rooms and communal areas of the hotel would benefit from a refresh. Hotel management have confirmed that this is in plan over the next few years.

Once the evening entertainment show finishes at around 10pm, there is not an awful lot more to do on the complex. This hotel is not the best choice for travelers looking for vibrant nightlife.
