The Red Cariboo Apartments and the Red Cariboo Resort are located in the middle of nearly untouched nature in Canada. The Red Cariboo Resort, built from its own wood, is the ideal starting point to discover the wild nature on the Dean River and Anahim Lake and to end the evenings comfortably with a BBQ or in a comfortably furnished wooden cabin.
The resort is run by a German-Canadian. In addition to guided hiking and discovery tours, the resort will offer a wide variety of outdoor activities for the summer and winter seasons, such as hiking, fishing, ice fishing, canoeing, quad tours, cross-country-skiing, snowshoeing, and much more. The resort even has its own herd of horses for the planned nature adventure rides for beginners and advanced riders in summer and winter. But the resort also offers everything you need for fans of effective deceleration.
The Red Cariboo Resort is located in the heart of British Columbia and is part of the Anahim Lake community. It covers an area of ​​60 hectares, on which the living cabins, the main house and other supply buildings, such as the horse stable, are generously distributed. The property borders over a length of 800 meters directly on the banks of the Dean River. The distance from the cabins to the river is approx. 300 meters. Anahim Lake is about 1,200 meters on foot.
The regional airport Anahim Lake is located directly on Highway 20 and offers daily flights to Vancouver in summer and 3 days a week in winter. A free transfer to and from Anahim Lake Airport is available for guests of the Red Cariboo Resort.
The Red Cariboo Apartments have already been completed. They all have an open living space concept with a kitchen, living / dining room, shower room and sleeping loft with 2 queen-size beds with memory foam mattresses and a private terrace. Each self-catering apartment has a kitchen with a coffee maker, refrigerator, oven, stove and microwave. Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and dishwasher tablets are also provided.
A communal laundry room is available for guest linen. Bedding and towels are included. The cleaning takes place weekly. Via the wireless network, guests have access to the Internet via a satellite connection. The bandwidth is therefore limited, streaming or large data downloads are not possible. A mobile network is also not available in the Canadian wilderness.
The Red Cariboo natural wood cabins in two sizes and with a lot of comfort are in the last construction phase of the interior and are expected to be completed in summer 2022. They will be 34 or 75 square meters and each will have a living room and sleeping loft with 2 queen-size beds, or 2 bedrooms with queen-size beds each and shower room with toilet, or shower room and separate toilet and a lounge loft.
A large communal kitchen for preparing meals is offered in the resort. A billiard table and comfortable seating are available in the lounge. Free private parking is also available for guests. Tweedsmuir Provincial Park (11 minutes by car) and Kappan Lake (31 minutes by car) as well as the valley of Bella Coola (66 minutes by car) are in the vicinity.
