Resort Jaz Dahabeya (Dahab, Egypt)

Situated right on the waters of the Gulf of Aqaba, Jaz Dahabeya offers extensive resort facilities on the outskirts of Dahab, a bit of a quieter resort town than those further south. The rooms have a bit of an eastern theme, and feature en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, minibars, satellite TV’s, telephones, hairdryers and in-room safes. The main attraction is undoubtedly the massive pool terrace, which has all the regular amenities, including sun beds. There are numerous watersports available, naturally including diving in one of the worlds top spots. There are several restaurants and bars dotted around the complex, from the main Le Palmier Restaurant, which serves predominantly Meditteranean cuisine, to the more intimate Sea Pearl, which serves traditional Egyptian dishes. The bars range from the informal Aqua Bar, to the more elegant Cheers Bar. The beach and nearby diving are the main attractions, but Mount Sinai and St Catherine's Monastery are about two hours away by road.
