Right on from the beach, the Golden Nugget Hotel is close to additional casinos and a five minute drive from the downtown Biloxi. Some rooms also include balconies with gorgeous views of the Gulf and Deer Island Coastal Preserve.

When staying at the hotel, you'd be hard pressed to run out of dinner selections. You can enjoy fresh grilled steaks, a cornucopia of shrimp preparations at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., eat to your hearts content at the buffet, or dine on healthier options at the Asian restaurant.

If you're the gambling sort, staying at the hotel puts you right in the middle of all the action. After a hearty breakfast, you can walk a few feet and play your luck. There are also numerous other casinos nearby, if your good fortune dries up.

Although the hotel offers parking facilities, some guest have noted that their facilities can be confusing. Others mentioned that the garage can be a challenge to navigate for older or mobility challenged individuals due to its large size and the lack of an elevator.

If you're only using the Golden Nugget as a hotel or have limited interest in gambling, the casino may feel invasive. In order to enter or leave the hotel or use some of its facilities, you'll have to walk through the casino. Of course, since gambling is the main focus of the casino, this is understandable.

All in all, previous visitors to the hotel found it to be amenable and pleasant. Some guests have mentioned a handful of problems with the rooms, though, including small basic quarters, the smell of smoke even in non-smoking rooms, dingy bathrooms, and poor lighting.
