Resort Condado Vanderbilt Hotel (San Juan, Puerto Rico)

Guests are far from being under-whelmed upon discovering this hotel, comparing it very favorably to well-renowned luxury hotels in the world that they've stayed in. Elegant and sophisticated, it is tastefully decorated with wonderful facilities including its amazing infinity swimming pool and Jacuzzi. You also have a wide choice of restaurants on site and can enjoy different eating experiences each night.

Guests are blown away by the exceptional attentive service that they receive. Many claiming they have never been treated so well anywhere else. Staff go above and beyond what is expected and are incredibly friendly.

The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with large terraces. Guests with stunning ocean views seem to be the most content as they can sit out and listen to the waves breaking against the coast.

Guests don't expect that a five star resort would be cheap, however they think some of the prices are still exaggerated. The food in the restaurant, they feel, is priced far too high. It wouldn't be so bad if the food was top class, but, unfortunately, it is nothing exceptional. The drinks in the bar are also far too high and even the nightly rates are a bit over the top.

Guests expect such a resort to have a beautiful private beach. Sadly, this is not the case - leaving many disappointed. Guests are dismissive about the beach near the hotel. It is public for a start, small and rough and consequently not very inviting.

Although the housekeeping is generally of a good standard, guests have certain issues with it. It is not carried out regularly enough for certain guests, staff could be more reactive for others and some find their procedures a little disturbing.
