Service in the reception is quick, especially with regard to the checking in. Some guests reported stepping into the property and being handed their key within five minutes. Thus, no long queue of people can be found in the hallway.

Astor Riga Hotel & Conference's rooms are well-equipped. Guests were not disappointed on the facilities and the materials that came with every accommodation. Bathroom supplies and toiletries are already provided. Slippers, earplugs, and even chocolates are present once you enter your room.

Most of the guests staying here weren't expecting much for the price they paid, but all of them end up surprised with the hotel's great value for money. For affordable rates, you get to have a comfortable bed, free breakfast, and an accommodation that is close to many of Riga's most popular attractions.

Even with the windows closed, some of the guests were disturbed by the noise made by the people on the street-- late night party-goers, and teenagers walking and shouting on the street. When you book a room, choose the farthest from the street.

Some of the guests had rooms facing a dilapidated backyard, while some had rooms facing a brick wall. This could be a major turn-off to some, as Riga is a beautiful city and some guests are expecting to see a part of it from their windows.
