You won't find any noisy pubs or clubs in the vicinity of the hotel so if peace and quiet is what you're looking for then you won't be disappointed. The hotel is surrounded by 8 acres of manicured gardens which have made it a very popular venue for wedding receptions

Guests were pleased to find that their rooms were of generous size with plenty of space to move around in between the furniture as well as to stow away their belongings. Most of the rooms look out onto the gardens and many said that waking up to the scenic views was the highlight of their stay.

All the members of staff have been described as friendly and approachable by those who stayed here. Guests who had specific queries and requests said that they were handled efficiently and professionally. Many went the extra mile such as helping guests with their luggage and providing useful information with regards to the local area.

Dated communal areas.
Some of the guests mentioned that the communal areas including the dining rooms and the lounge were starting to show their age and would benefit from modernisation. Guests noticed worn carpets, marks on the walls and furniture which had seen better days.

Guests who wanted to have a drink at the bar said that they had to wait longer than expected to receive their orders and also objected to the fact that on occasions they had to go in search of the staff as no one was available.

Several plumbing-related issues were brought up by the guests ranging from noisy plumbing and slow draining sinks through to experiencing difficulties in using the shower.
