Benefitting from a relatively peaceful waterfront location, most reviewers appreciated this hotel being within striking distance of the main sights while enjoying more peace and quiet than alternative accommodation closer to the hustle and bustle in the very center of the city. Guests loved the free river cruise up to the medieval Wawel Castle between April and September. Most reviewers didn’t mind the 25-minute walk to the main market square, but some wished the location was more central.

On the whole, staff were reportedly friendly, helpful, polite and able to speak good English. Many reviewers were positive about the food in the restaurant, while the huge selection of products on offer during the breakfast buffet proved very popular, even if some said it was expensive.

Sometimes those who requested a non-smoking room were disappointed to end up in a smoking room anyway.

The air-conditioning in the rooms proved too weak for some guests in the warmest weather. It was also occasionally described as noisy. Light sleepers also had to contend with thin walls, meaning noise from corridors and adjacent rooms was sometimes audible.
