Palatino Hotel (Zante-Town, Greece)

The housekeeping team work pretty much every day and as such the hotel is kept clean to a high standard, including the bedrooms.

Situated just 100 metres away from an excellent beach the hotel has an enviable position. You have to pay for sunbeds and parasols but these are inexpensive. Within five minutes’ walk you will find a selection of shops and restaurants and just a little further out there is a supermarket which is convenient for stocking up on supplies.

Guests feel the hotel is very good value for money, offering clean rooms, comfortable beds, a beach location and a fantastic breakfast. Lunch and dinner are also available in the hotel’s restaurant and are recommended by many previous guests. It is a great place to stay for travellers wanting to avoid the usual holiday hotel or for those travelling on a budget. The service is also very good across the hotel.

The hotel is situated close by to a school and it is within such close proximity that you may even hear the bell ring to signify the start of the school day.

There are not many facilities at the hotel, for example kids’ club or swimming pool so guests looking for a traditional holiday hotel may be disappointed.

The hotel primarily caters for business travellers, for example offering meeting rooms and conference facilities. Interestingly the best reviews were those staying at the hotel for leisure and to visit the beach with those travelling for business being disappointed with the level of service received.
