Palace Elisabeth, Hvar Heritage Hotel (Hvar, Croatia)

This hotel is located in the centre of old town Hvar. It is well-positioned within the small marina town. The location provides spectacular views of the water, mountains and town square. Guests can walk from one side of the town to another within ten minutes. The Palace Hotel is directly in the centre of the city, making is extremely convenient to get to any access point.

You will travel through history when staying at the Palace Hotel. Absorb the hotel’s original early 20th Century gothic architecture while overlooking the preserved marina town of Hvar from the building's restaurant, bar and lounge terrace.

Previous guests were pleased with the vast selection of breakfast choices and the excellent quality of the food overall at the hotel restaurant. The food variety and quality is as impressive as the views one can enjoy from the hotel’s dining terrace.

Several guests were inconvenienced by the lack of an air-conditioning unit in the hotel rooms. This subjected guests to uncomfortable and hot room temperatures, especially throughout the warmer months. There are ceiling fans provided in each room which works to regulate some of the temperature, but some guests may still find it off putting.

Some guests have had problems accessing the free Wi-Fi in the hotel rooms. The connection was strong in the hotel foyer but not in the rooms. When guests did gain wireless internet access the connection was reportedly very slow.

While many visitors to the Palace Hotel have had enjoyable stays, others report that the hotel requires a bit of updating. Some guests feel that interior is outdated and the hotel room furniture is tired, old, and in need of replacement.
