Oz Hotel Cartagena (Cartagena, Colombia)

This hotel boasts a fantastic location, especially ideal for beach visitors. The neighbourhood is close to the Cartagena city centre, but far enough to provide a peaceful getaway-style vacation. There are many restaurants, shops, and supermarkets within a ten-minute walk from the hotel, and most major sights are a short ride away. Guest say you can easily reach any part of town via a short and inexpensive taxi ride.

Make sure to check out the hotel's breakfast. The classic continental layout is said to be tasty, plentiful and very satisfying. There is plenty of fresh fruit and just baked pastries. There are also many local Columbian items available for sampling, as well as fresh and aromatic Columbian coffee. Guests say the breakfast is a pleasant way to start the day, and the onsite restaurant makes for a nice dinner venue as well.

Guests left many compliments for the staff at this hotel. According to reviews, the hotel provides great customer service. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and professional.

Many of the rooms are quite small, and guests sometimes found them a bit claustrophobic. In addition, the poor lighting in the rooms makes them even less inviting.

Noise from the nearby main street, and the hotel's terrace is a common problem. The hotel in general has relatively poor soundproofing, so it's not uncommon to hear your neighbours. If you're a light sleeper, it's highly recommended that you bring along some earplugs.

Guests found it a bit inconvenient that there are no coffee or tea making facilities in the room and there is no parking onsite.
