Opera House Hotel (Bronx, USA)

The rooms have been described as being spacious with double-height ceilings and large windows making them feel light and airy. Guests were pleased to find that the interiors have been recently remodeled as the rooms had stylish decor featuring elegant furniture and upholstery. Bathrooms were also said to be roomy with up-to-date fixtures and fittings.

Yankee fans were pleased to find that the stadium is within walking distance of the hotel meaning that they didn't have to worry about parking or getting public transport. Those who wanted to get to the city center found it convenient being only a 2-minute walk away from the subway.

Guests described the members of staff as approachable and friendly, making them feel welcome and ease. The front-desk personnel offered helpful tips and advice with regards to the local area whilst the serving staff were said to be polite and attentive.

Although the hotel offers free on-site parking, guests were disappointed to find that there were only a handful of places which are available on a first come first served basis. Those who couldn't find a free space had to park on the street or in the nearby parking lot.

The air-conditioning units were described as being quite loud with guests objecting to being woken up at night when the units would switch themselves on. Many were reluctant to use the air-conditioning as they said that it prevented them from getting a good night's sleep.

As the Opera House is situated in the Bronx, some guests said that they felt rather unsafe returning to the hotel late in the evening or going out to eat dinner at some of the local restaurants.
