It used to be called The Bog Roy Inn … so you can see why they changed the name! There's very little that's inferior about this place. Breakfast is great, with an impressive choice for vegetarians. Food in the bar later, is of equally appetising quality and choice. A highlight of the catering week is the Sunday Carvery. It's well worth noting this if you're staying Sunday night, or just passing through.
Rooms are well decorated and welcoming. The roadside location might strike an initial note of caution re: traffic noise … but there isn't any! You aren't in the centre of a grid-locked city now!
It's not the staff that's the problem, rather the ongoing noise of the refrigerator and air conditioning. Needless to say, this goes on all night! The problem doesn't apply to all rooms and it's a shame that it's there at all … because it is the only source of night time noise that is likely to bother you.
Some areas are looking a bit dated but, worse than that is the fact that you can't fully close the bedroom window. In this neck of the woods and for many months of the year … you really need to do this!
The bathroom is very small. There's hardly anywhere to put anything at all.
