Negative Reviews
negative:
Functions can take over
Oakwood Hall seems to host functions very well indeed so there's a good chance you'll have a great time as a guest at an event. However, regular guests have felt a bit pushed out by functions, commenting that the music was very loud. Also, evening meal availability doesn't seem guaranteed when functions are on.
negative:
Looped music in shared areas
More than one guest comments on the music played in the communal areas of this hotel, describing the music as very dated. Unfortunately, it plays on a loop so escaping it may not be as simple as it sounds.
negative:
Some issues with rooms
Although feedback generally paints the rooms here in a good light, there do appear to be some shortcomings. Reported issues include meagre tea and coffee supplies, a lack of bottled water on the hospitality trays and some minor housekeeping and maintenance oversights.
