They say that it is close to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island … and it is! The welcome from the front desk seems genuine and warm. They give an excellent first impression. Sadly this isn't followed through in all other departments.
The Beach Club Restaurant serves excellent food and drinks. Prices are imaginative, though.
The air con works quite well … thankfully! … and beds are comfortable with good standard bed linen. Rooms are clean (*ish) and the Sky TV channels are a welcome surprise.
Poolside rooms are older and prone to problems. Beach front rooms are more expensive but they are noticeably better. The supply of constant hot water is a problem - even in Paradise! Don't get too excited about the free breakfast; it's only a very ordinary continental style offering.
Staff ‘tips' are not included in the advertised prices. There's no fear of you forgetting this fact. Staff will remind you … to the points of tedium and annoyance. Generally, management is OK. The rest of the staff are like the ‘curate's boiled egg' … good in parts.
‘Bog standard' breakfast gets the day off to a mediocre start. It starts at 7.30 and you can't get anything at all before that time. Any practical problems result in the hotel supplying materials, basically for you to rectify the situation. Lots of things lacking here, but the optimistic assessment of their own value, as expressed via the tariffs ...can't be faulted. Overpriced.
