Mountview Hotel is family-run hotel with resident managers, ensuring that guests are as comfortable as possible, situated in St Helier in Jersey.
Each of the rooms benefits from en-suite facilities, TV, telephone and other basic amenities such as tea and coffee-making facilities, personal safe and hair dryer.
Limited parking is available to guests, who also have use of the private patio area and comfortable lounge bar. Guests have free use of the indoor swimming at a nearby hotel, Hotel De Normandie.

Guests comment that bedrooms are comfortable and clean. Beds are described as particularly comfortable, and guests comment that rooms are cleaned, with fresh towels and bed linen every day, which a number of guests add is unusual for a two star hotel.

Whilst reviews regarding breakfast are fairly mixed, the general consensus seems to be that the breakfast is of a good quality, offering a variety of options to suit every taste. A number of guests also comment that cooked breakfasts are very flexible in that you can swap items and have exactly what you’d like.

A number of guests comment that the location of the hotel is ideal, reportedly being just a short walk away from the beach and the main town. There seem to be a number of convenient bus services that provide transport across the rest of the island.

A couple of guests comment that bedrooms are stuffy, and become quite hot during the day. Guests comment that windows need to be left open in order to keep rooms a comfortable temperature.

A few guests suggest that the hotel could benefit from an update, as the decor is reportedly very basic and uninspiring. Guests do comment, though, that rooms are perfectly adequate for a two star hotel.
