Mount View Hotel & Spa (Calistoga, USA)

The hotel is located close to many of the Nappa Valley wineries and also organizes wine tasting excursions which many found very convenient. Guests who did not want to dine on-site were pleased to find lots of cafes and restaurants in close proximity to the hotel as it is located on the main strip in Calistoga.

Guests were pleased to find lots of places on the premises where they could relax such as the outdoor hot-tub and the patio which was a perfect place for guests to read a book in the shade. Many also took advantage of the hotel’s spa facility and said that the treatments were enjoyable and carried out by professional therapists.

Many appreciated the warm and hospitable atmosphere at the hotel and particularly enjoyed the free daily wine tasting which gave them an opportunity to socialize with other guests. The front-desk staff were said to be extremely helpful, offering guests invaluable advice on where to eat and what to see in the area.

As there is no lift on the premises guests said that they found it quite tiring climbing the stairs especially upon arrival as many were carrying heavy items of luggage.

Guests who were expecting a scenic view from their windows were disappointed to find that all they could see from their rooms was the hotel’s parking lot and some had views of the restaurant’s flat roof both of which were said to be rather unsightly.

The continental breakfasts which are brought to the rooms were described as being quite meager and did not change which meant that guests had the same food every day.
