Positive Reviews
positive:
Pool is a good size
More often than not, the pools at hotels within this price range tend to be little more than token gestures laid on for the benefit of making a web page look more attractive. Thankfully, this is not the case at the Super 8 Weslaco as the pool here is, by current standards, a very decent size.
positive:
Staff members are cordial and efficient
Many guests have been impressed with the quality of service provided, both directly and indirectly, by the Super 8 Weslaco’s friendly employees. Good efforts all round here.
positive:
Location is very handy
As well as being right by the Expressway, the Super 8 Weslaco is within easy reach of the area’s famed shopping opportunities and quite close to two airports. Having the US/Mexico border so close by is a big plus if you're someone who heads south on a regular basis for business.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Parking is a little tight in places
It’s an unfortunate fact that the parking lot here isn’t overly spacious. This means that you can expect things to get a little tight, both in terms of parking and manoeuvring, whenever the hotel gets relatively busy.
negative:
Some rooms have seen better days
Numerous visitors have commented on the state of the furniture and fixtures in the accommodations, noting that they were quite old and worn and, in some cases, in need of repair. Time for a strategic refurb perhaps?
negative:
Breakfast area is too small
It’s fair to say the dining area where the complimentary breakfast is served is pretty compact. Best get up early if you don’t want to eat your waffles and bagels standing up!
