This property’s on-site diner serves outstanding breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Guests loved the menu, which was filled with solid southern classics as well as quality egg dishes.
positive:
Well-located simple accommodation
The property was extremely popular with those passing through the region, looking for a simple place to rest their heads before continuing their journeys. Many found the location of this hotel – just off of State Route 49 – to be extremely convenient. However, others also noted that this property is also located close to State Route 59, which puts guests right on Hardy Street, in the heart of Hattiesburg.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Outdated appearance
This property boasts period furniture, but for a number of guests, the effect wasn’t so much ‘antique’ as it was tired and dated. A number commented on the old, worn appearance of the interior units at this property.
negative:
Reports of dirty rooms
There were consistent reports of dirty rooms at this property. Many noted finding items of garbage – old soda cans, etc. – that had been left behind by past guests and not disposed of by this hotel’s housekeeping staff.
negative:
Night noise from the on-site restaurant
It may offer outstanding meals during the day, but by night, the on-site diner turns into a lounge-cum-cocktail bar. Unfortunately, guests consistently reported having their nights disturbed by noise from bar patrons and late night party goers.
