Positive Reviews
positive:
French connections.
Decorated and furnished using rural French themes, the hotel and rooms evoke great charm and immediate relaxation. From the quality linens and a sense of French luxury, all aspects relax the guest into an unusually themed, French and cottage like atmosphere. The 'Normandy' Inn is well named.
positive:
Close to amenities.
The friendly staff here will direct you to a range of attractions, many of which are an easy walk away. Shops, yummy restaurants and the beach, all fall into this category.
positive:
Time warped tariffs.
Noted by 'regular' visitors-and encouragingly, there are plenty of them -the hotel is continually being upgraded and yet the tariffs seem to be unchanging and set in stone.

Let's start a French Revolution
All talk of authentic charm goes out of the window-*if you can find one that opens! Heat in the rooms is intense and yet there is no air conditioning ... not even a hand held fan! Sacre bleu! Staff can have a touch of 'les miserables' and be somewhat stroppy when faced with tackling complaints. Off with their heads!
negative:
Petit parking.
OK, parking is free, but available spaces total just 8. Ergo, the majority of guests are deprived of parking spaces and forced to roam the streets in order to park 'l'auto' . They seek them here; they seek them there ... but parking spaces remain illusive.
negative:
Authentic-or just plain dated
Rooms are small and seem to have been last upgraded in the 60s. Beds are uncomfortable. Sound insulation doesn't exist so, if you have a top floor room, at least there's no-one above you.Another 'wheeze' is to make sure that your room isn't one of those located on the constantly busy street corner.
