Positive Reviews
positive:
Essentials are OK.
The guest's basic needs are a comfortable, clean bed and loads of hot water for showering. This motel scores highly on both points. Oh! You need to park up too - and you can do that here, although it's a bit on the tight side. The pool is good and the provision of a free daily newspaper is a small touch, but much appreciated.
positive:
Efficient staff.
Members of staff are to be applauded for keeping a semblance of cleanliness in rooms that are becoming increasingly difficult to maintain. They are also pleasant enough, although, for some, a course on customer service wouldn't go amiss.
positive:
Attractive prices.
If everything was perfect, the tariff charged would increase significantly. Value for money is good - but it could so easily be excellent. The location is good too. Sufficiently far away from the city centre for the noise not to be a problem, but it's only a short drive to those attractions.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No joke … but lots of ‘dirty cracks'
Cleaning isn't undertaken with any enthusiasm and it is beginning to show - big time! Rubbish piled up in the corridors, dangerously exposed wires in the rooms coupled with grime-filled cracks in the walls, are negative features that are long overdue for rectifying.
negative:
Dated furniture and equipment.
Everything is old and dated, including the fridge - where the only ‘cool' place is the freezer unit. Air conditioning is noisy and the toaster is to be avoided as it gives the impression of being about to explode. There are problems above the room as, when it rains … the roof leaks.
negative:
Where's the ‘point'?
There is a distinct lack of suitably located power sockets in the room.
