Motel Downbeach Inn (Atlantic City, USA)

Cheaper than the competition, the hotel is clean and beds are comfortable. They seem to be regularly upgraded. If you're after frills, then pay well over the odds elsewhere. If your priorities are cleanliness and value, look no further!

You're only one block from the beach and the neighborhood is quiet, so you'll be unlucky not to sleep well. The casinos aren't far away and younger folk or those with more energy than they should have, can walk there ... no problem!

The local bus service is handy and very cheap, so there's no need to take the car. Relax - have a drink and enjoy yourself.

The room stinks, so, if you have to stay here, invest in large supplies of air freshener. This hotel certainly has a stain on its character, as well as on everywhere else; towels, carpets, sheets etc. *The only place with small 'spots' is the parking area!

Because the parking area is so small and tight, it's not unusual to find scratches on the car's bodywork. A quick calculation on the repairs will indicate that you could have stayed somewhere more expensive but with sensible parking - and still save money!

There's no breakfast; just a coffee machine. Carpets are filthy and there's an accumulation of hairs in plugholes. You need to invest in towels, bedding, soap, shampoo and gallons of air freshener to make your stay endurable. It's a huge pity because the potential is enormous.
