Motel Best Western Plus Hovell Tree Inn (Albury/Wodonga, Australia)

One thing that makes this hotel stand out from others is the attention to detail. Things like including a hair bobble in the bathroom amenities pack, hosting a happy hour and having a roaring fire in the lounge. There is plenty of parking available, even for larger vehicles. The staff consistently demonstrate high levels of customer service and guests feel welcomed and appreciated whilst staying here. Staff obviously enjoy working here as they take immense pride in the work that they do.

You may want to come here just for the restaurant alone! There is enough choice on the menu to suit everybody and the quality of produce used is excellent. The execution of the dish and presentation are also fantastic.

The rooms are very spacious even when travelling as a family. They are tastefully decorated and in very condition, in terms of looking fresh and also the level of cleanliness. The beds are very comfortable and the linens used are of a good quality. Guests return time and time again to the point where the staff remember them by name.

If you are unlucky enough to be situated by noisy neighbours or there are inconsiderate other guests in the hallway the sound may disturb you.

The food is more bistro style and therefore is not budget fare. You will need to budget extra for your evening meal or venture off-site to a different eatery.

The lift is quite old and therefore a little slow and quite noisy. There have been reports of a funny smell in it too.
