The complimentary breakfast is really impressive and starts at a very sensible 6am. The late afternoon/early evening snacks are well worth turning up for and very much appreciated.

You can walk with ease to Bangor Mall and there are plenty of good restaurants in the area, to suit all tastes and budgets. The nearest is a very good Mexican restaurant - just a short walk across the parking lot. Consequently, everything runs like clockwork and sets Bangor Motor Inn in a league of its own. Rooms are very clean and beds, super comfy.---------------A little bit dated.The bathroom could be more modern but, hey, everything is spotlessly clean and works perfectly - so, who cares! Carpets, though, are now on their last legs.Would benefit from tweaking.Lamp switches are too high from bed level. Why are the towels so tiny?! Coffee at breakfast is weak … but, surprisingly, they accommodate gluten-free requirements without flickering an eye.Some mini-moans.A nice touch would be the automatic inclusion in the room of a refrigerator.  Room ‘corners' have been ignored and need upgrading. There's no elevator so elderly/infirm guests should be aware of stairs. All dining and the reception area is in a separate building. OK unless the weather is rotten! Air conditioning can be unreliable/broken.
