Monnaber Nou Finca Hotel & Spa (Campanet, Spain)

The hotel is set in vast grounds with wonderful views of the countryside. Particular mention is given to the olive trees and how nice it is to wake up to birds singing in the morning. You feel that you are far enough away from civilisation, but still near enough to the towns of Alcudia, Palma and also the beach.

Many facilities are offered by the hotel and there are additional activities that are available nearby such as horse riding. Great nature walks and the Campanet Caves are just ten minutes away and there is also a vulture centre approximately ten minutes’ drive away.

There is a great selection of food offered which is prepared from fresh local produce and even produce from the working farm within the grounds. The meat dishes especially such as the pork ares amazing and the lamb is plentiful.

The food and the main courses in particular are good, but some of the desserts are quite hit and miss and a proper pastry chef is needed. Some dishes are also only partly defrosted and ice cream sometimes melts before it comes to the table.

The hotel has an annexe which is around five minutes’ walk away with previous guests saying that it was basically like a separate hotel. Guests with mobility issues may have a problem being so far from the main building and have issues with accessing the hotel’s facilities so it is advisable to check this beforehand.

It has been mentioned that the hotel only provides water at breakfast and doesn’t stock large bottles. Smaller bottles can be purchased, but these are quite expensive.
