Right in downtown Portland
Many guests of this hotel have loved its downtown location. The property is right in the heart of downtown Portland and close to Interstate 405, Old Town Chinatown, and the Pearl District, so guests have been able to use it as a home base when exploring the city.
positive:
Interesting decor in the rooms
Each room at this property is individually decorated and themed to match a song by a band that has played the Crystal Ballroom. Guests have loved this idea because every room is different and provides an entirely unique experience.
positive:
Nice pool in the basement
Numerous guests have enjoyed the pool that is found in the basement of this property. In addition to the pool, there is a large hot tub there. Guests have found the pool to be a relaxing place to spend an evening with a drink in hand.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Shared bathrooms
Past guests haven't liked the fact that most of the rooms at this property have shared bathrooms. Because of this, guests have been forced to share a bathroom with others, and this has led to long waits to get into these rooms and dirty bathrooms on certain floors.
negative:
Very small rooms
Multiple guests have reported that the rooms at this hotel are very small. This hasn't left guests with much extra space, especially when sharing a room with someone else. The rooms don't have television, either, so there isn't much to do after returning to the room at night.
negative:
No on-site parking
There have been complaints about the lack of on-site parking at this hotel. Guests have been forced to park a couple of blocks away because of this, and have also had to pay the fee that is associated with parking elsewhere.
