Mayerling Hotel (Madrid, Spain)

Situated just 400 yards from Plaza Mayor, it is pretty much impossible to think of a more central location in Madrid. While guests were certainly not surprised by the location, since it was one of the main reasons they booked at Mayerling, they absolutely loved being in the heart of the city, with all the streetlife and amenities at hand.

While a relatively small gesture, it was probably the hotel feature that was mentioned the most. Free tea, coffee and even cappuccino was available 24 hours a day, so guests never felt obliged to make a expensive trip to a café every time they wanted a delicious hot beverage.

It was hard to find a bad word written about the breakfast. On the contrary, guests mentioned again and again how comprehensive and varied the buffet was. There was certainly more than enough food, and the variety meant that all but the most picky of eaters could find something they liked.

While most accepted small rooms since they were paying a decent rate at a very central hotel, not all guests were so understanding. A few mentioned that their room was uncomfortably small, with insufficient room for their suitcases.

While the Wi-Fi quality seemed to be fine in parts of the hotel that received a strong signal, guests mentioned that many rooms have such a weak signal that the system is all but unusable there.

Specifically, guests mentioned that at least some of the bathrooms had those trendy frosted glass walls between the bedroom and bathroom. They did not like the lack of privacy this entailed.
