Marmara Deluxe Hotel (Istanbul, Turkey)

Guests were impressed with the decor and setting of the hotel. They liked the classic Ottoman feel of the rooms, and the Turkish bathrooms with plenty of hot water. The communal areas as well as the rooms are very clean.

Guests had no complaints about the staff who were very friendly. They were very prompt in redressing any grievance. They were efficient and helpful and treated guests like family. Their concern for infants and adults alike, impressed many guests.

Guests liked the position of the hotel close to the tram station and many other tourist attractions. There is also not much disturbance due to traffic sounds. There are many shops and restaurants close by. Guests liked the breakfast, which was adequate and had a good selection of breads, olives, cheese, meats, coffee and juices.

The filters of the air conditioners are in need of a cleanup, as there is smell of dust when it is put on. The duvets are short. The towels are old, rough and in need to be replaced. The shower taps are difficult to open.

The breakfast room needs to have blinds, as the sunlight seeping into the room makes it warm. When it rains, water leaks into the room and the room becomes too cold.

Local mosques can be loud. Sounds from those in front of the hotel permeate through the property. Some guests find this disturbing.
