The Marlborough Hotel represents the ideal holiday destination, just meters from the Shanklin seaside. The hotel offers both car and bike hire making exploration of the immediate area or greater surrounds that much easier. The beach is just minutes away and nearest attractions of Shanklin Chine Gardens and the Old Village are within easy reach.

The hotel offers a number of excellent amenities to all of its guests including a 24-hour reception, a large free car park and a private garden. Guests can mingle and enjoy a snack or selection of beers, ales, wines or a variety of teas and coffee in the cosy bar lounge, complete with real log burning fireplace, free Wi-Fi and a large flat screen TV.

Each en-suite room features is individually decorated and well-appointed to provide both comfort and style. Many rooms enjoy ocean views and balconies while all rooms feature flat screen TV’s, kettle with complimentary tea and coffee, hair dryers and an alarm clock with built-in radio.

The hotel does not feature a lift to make accessing above ground floors easier. However, families with toddlers, elderly travellers or guests with limited mobility and can request rooms on the ground floor.

A fairly common complaint and issue at the hotel has to do with the inadequate shower pressure experienced in many of the showers. Problems range from low pressure to intermittent and inconsistent water delivery.

An issue for some motorists may be the slightly steep camber at the car park entrance which can potentially damage cars with a lower than average ride height. It is best to approach the car park entrance with caution.
