positive:
Urban Hideaway
Spotlessly clean rooms get high praise from reviewers. After a late night, party animals appreciate the blackout shutters and comfy beds. High-powered air-conditioning units are a huge hit with guests, as is the super-fast Wi-Fi, well-stocked minibar and personal touches like robes, slippers and umbrellas.
positive:
Sophisticated Sukhumvit
The location of this hotel is described as extremely convenient by guests, who love being in the thick of it. Trendy business district Sukhumvit is a short walk from Nana BTS skytrain station, the naughty nightlife of Nana Plaza and popular party-street, Soi 11.
positive:
Eager-To-Please Employees
Described as welcoming, well-trained and helpful, smiling staff score high with reviewers, who find their 'can-do' attitude infectious. Sincere front-of-house staff are always delighted to book tours and enjoy giving local information in excellent English, without a hint of pushiness or hard-selling techniques.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Long Way to Leisure
Some guests who fancied a dip in a pool have complained about having to walk one block to sister hotel Majestic Grande. Of those who did, several were unimpressed to find a fairly small facility, though many said good things about the sunny bathing terrace there.
negative:
Bland Breakfast
The free buffet breakfast offered by this hotel isn't a hit with some reviewers, who find it lacking in both volume and variety. Lots of guests praise the breakfasts offered by local cafes and restaurants, however, and didn't have to walk far to find exactly what they craved.
negative:
Noisy Nightlife
Though lots of travellers describe their stay as peaceful, several are left sleepless in Sukhumvit because of non-stop night traffic and pumping dance music from nearby bars and clubs. Guests' experience seems to depend on the room they are given. Those away from the road may be quieter.
