Leonardo Hotel Madrid City Center (Madrid, Spain)

Convenient to the San Bernardo subway station and from that point to most Madrid attractions, the hotel was perfectly located for most guests. They liked the short stroll to Puerta de Sol and Plaza Mayor and the numerous cafes, restaurants, shops and markets in the area. There is also train service from the airport to a stop nearby the hotel which many guests found convenient.

Most guests were happy with their stay at this hotel and described the rooms as clean and comfortable. They enjoyed relaxing in the lobby bar and pleasant courtyard and many said they would definitely recommend it to friends and family visiting Madrid.

Hotel staff members earned a thumbs up for their friendly, courteous and efficient service. Guests appreciated suggestions on where to eat and what to see and generally found the staff knowledgeable about the city.

Some guests found the rooms too small for comfort and described them as cramped and claustrophobic, others thought they were a bit dark and gloomy.

This is an older building and some guests found the walls too thin and were bothered by noise from neighbouring rooms. Others complained of traffic noise on the busy street in front of the hotel.  This was a particular problem for those staying during the summer when open windows exacerbated the problem.

Breakfast was overpriced according to some guests who described it as exorbitant and outrageously expensive. For others the quality of food and service did not justify the high prices.
