Positive Reviews
positive:
Exceptional staff.
Perhaps one of this hotel's strongest assets were the enthusiastic staff members. Whether in English or French, staff showed genuine concern for guests, and were at the ready with directions and recommendations for the best of the city.
positive:
Location for the win.
Many guests felt that staying here gave them very easy access to city sights. Local restaurants were a cinch to get to, and it was a pleasant walk into the downtown area. Perhaps most importantly, the area felt safe to guests, and there was even an airport shuttle station nearby.
positive:
Three cheers for Wi-Fi.
As many frequent travellers know, Wi-Fi can be inconsistent at the best of times, even at top-rated hotels. Fortunately, connecting to the Internet didn't seem to be a problem, much to the satisfaction of guests who needed to keep in touch.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Facilities didn't always match cost.
For the price, some guests were disappointed that there weren't more amenities in rooms and in the hotel itself. Many suggested that a place to have an evening meal would have greatly enhanced their experience, and while most liked their accommodation, rooms could be considered basic, with no fridge, safe, or tea and coffee making facilities.
negative:
Parking issues.
A few guests were out of luck with a parking spot because they didn't book it ahead of time. Other guests were equally inconvenienced when they tried to park large vehicles. There simply wasn't the space for them, and guests had to park elsewhere.
negative:
Weekend noise.
Soundproofing wasn't always the best, and some guests were made aware of thin walls, especially on the weekend. Boisterous groups could be easily heard, but to the hotel's credit, attentive staff put a stop to any late night disturbances.
