Guests found the hotel to be a great base from where to explore Munich, as it is easy to access public transportation with bus stops and the main train station within walking distance. Tourist attractions like the Oktoberfest, Marienplatz, Residenz and Deutsches Museum are all located nearby as well.

The rooms are clean and despite the hotel's central location wonderfully quiet. Guests also appreciate the air-conditioning units, which were reported to be cooling the rooms to a decent temperature. Many commented that the unique and traditional décor made them feel quite at home, with dark wood furniture and the canopy beds receiving specific praise.

The hotel provides Wi-Fi access throughout the property and guests noted that its signal was fast and reliable.

The rooms are equipped with necessary items like a bed, a closet and a TV, but guests felt that some amenities would have elevated the hotel to a higher level. There are no in-room coffee or tea-making facilities and toiletries, and the hotel also does not provide on-site parking, a gym or a restaurant.

Some guests found the covers to be too thick and hot and the hotel does not provide thin sheets, so you might be better off bringing one if you book during the summer months. A few guests also criticized the pillows to be too firm and not thick enough.
