Killeen House Hotel (Killarney, Ireland)

Many used the guest house as a base to explore some of the popular nearby nature attractions such as the Ring of Kerry and the Killarney National Park. Keen walkers were pleased to find lots of nature trails in close proximity to their accommodation whilst eager golfers found it handy being just a short drive away from numerous popular courses.

Guests complimented all the members of staff stating that they were courteous and professional at all times. The owners were described as warm and attentive, genuinely concerned about making sure their guests felt comfortable and well-looked after. Many returning guests said they chose this inn due to the hospitable and friendly atmosphere.

From the freshly prepared breakfasts through to the lunch and evening meals, all the food served at the restaurant has been described as being of very high quality. Guests said that the dishes were cooked to perfection and full of flavour and also appreciated the use of fresh local ingredients.

Some of the rooms face a rather busy road and guests mentioned that they were able to hear traffic noise which prevented some from opening their windows in the evenings.

The on-site bar was said to be a bit on the small side and hence often rather busy. The restaurant was said to be popular with many locals and also used by coach parties which meant that sometimes resident guests had to dine elsewhere.

Those who were expecting scenic views were disappointed to find that all they could see from their windows was a courtyard and nearby road.  Rooms on the upper floors were said to boast better views.
