Positive Reviews
positive:
Great beach across the peninsula
While the very nearest beach was not thought very highly of, the one just a few minutes walk across the peninsula was said to be especially lovely. It was not too crowded, and was the kind of place that brought the guests to Phuket in the first place.
positive:
Extra facilities available
Several guests mentioned that they were allowed to use the facilities at the nearby Cape Panwa Hotel. It is a bit more luxurious, and has somewhat better facilities, so guests were certainly very happy that they had access to them.
positive:
Amazing night market right outside
Guests mention that at night the road outside is turned into a traditional night market, with what they described as amazing street food. They hardly needed to bother with going to a proper restaurant because they felt they could get the best food right there on the street.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Breakfast got a bit monotonous
While guests didn't really have much against the breakfast per se, they described it as containing relatively few options. As a result, several long-stay guests felt it became a bit drab after a few days. They reckoned that having a bit more variety would have solved the problem.
negative:
Décor a little dated
While it wasn't listed as a major issue by any guests, some did mention that they thought the décor was a bit outdated, both in the rooms and public areas. They felt that the hotel would soon need a comprehensive renovation to remain attractive and relevant.
negative:
Quite a few stairs
Guests mentioned that there is no lift, and quite a few stars to negotiate to get about, especially to get to the rooftop pool. Those who dislike stairs, or have a mobility issue, may not be happy here.
