Visiting any hotel can be a strange and intimidating experience but, here, any initial unease quickly disappears with staff who go well beyond the reasonable call of duty to ensure that 'you' have everything you need. In this strange environment, they are like trusted friends.

It's always worth highlighting when something is better than you might reasonably expect and breakfast here is in that category. Freshly prepared and with a daily change of menu choices, it's a great way to start the day.

This Franklin Street location is ideal and very convenient for restaurants and shops in this really very attractive little town. It's a quiet little place and the hotel rooms are also quieter than many. If the bright lights of Atlanta beckon, it's only a few miles down the road ... so you can enjoy the best of both worlds.

Ah, Sweet Mystery of life' is a song from the 1930s screen musical ... 'Naughty Marietta'. It's also the philosophical conclusion you come to when you book into this reputable hotel, only to be dismayed by old furniture, drab decor .. and bugs.

There's a really unpleasant smell that seems to be well established in almost every corner of the hotel. Switching the air conditioning on doesn't improve things ... the smell gets even worse!

Vehicles can get broken in to with monotonous regularity, so the immediate area isn't as cozy as you first thought! Inside lives down to renewed expectations with uncared for and unclean elevator and carpets. The air conditioning is so old and noisy that it seems to be preparing for take off, any time now!
