Warm welcome from hands-on owner
The owner and proprietor of this luxury property is certainly hands-on. Guests report being warmly welcomed and greeted by him upon arrival, something that only helps to set the overall tone of the visitor experience at this B&B. This thoughtful attention to detail only carries on throughout the property. Guests were delighted by little touches such as biscuits, sherry, Belgian chocolates and even a full jug of milk in their minifridges. Under floor heating, huge bathrooms, wood burners and Molton Brown toiletries rounded out the experience here and only complimented the décor in this elegant country property.

Brilliant breakfasts
Guests have commented that the breakfasts at this B&B are absolutely outstanding. The cold buffet features an excellent selection of breads, cereals and jams, but the made-to-order full Devonshire option is definitely the star of the show.
positive:
Easy to find and lots to do
Location can be the downfall of many a country property, but this house is apparently a snap to find. Additionally, it is also within easy reach of the M5, making a day trip to Exeter a breeze. While the Jurassic Coast is also within close proximity, the village of Whimple also boasts a number of pubs and restaurants as well as a rail station.

Small room configuration

Temperature control
Finally, a number of guests reported that rooms were too warm for comfort, with quite a few having to open the window in order to cool things down.
