Hotel Wingate by Wyndham Pueblo (Pueblo, USA)

It's a surprisingly impressive hotel. The lobby is an attractive intro; high ceilings and relaxing easy chairs. Corridors are wide and with good quality carpet. A real surprise - and a very pleasing one. Prices seem reasonable for the quality that exists here.

The quality theme continues in the rooms where there are top end fixtures and fittings and nice shampoos and toiletries.

Everyone works so hard to keep you happy and the night staff deserves a special mention. Everything runs like clockwork. If there's a problem or query - they'll sort it!

For some reason, pillows are as hard as stone. Not comfortable. Towels are very thin and need replacing. The hotel is prone to power cuts so viewers of disaster movies may miss it ... and think twice about using the elevator!

Having been quoted one price, don't be surprised to find, on check out, that you've been charged something entirely different.

It's like being in the same room as the noisy crowd next door - with just a piece of cardboard separating you. Not everyone is as quiet and considerate as you so, with the many sporting groups that stay here, the noise can go on throughout the night. When it finally subsides in the early hours, it's tempting to get up and go along the corridor knocking on doors … just to get your own back! It's not just the sound that's a problem; all sorts of smells from neighboring rooms permeate in to yours.
