Sometimes the hotel will put you in a room where smokers have stayed and that stale smell of second-hand smoke is still prevalent. Of course, if this is bothersome, the front desk staff will be happy to move you to a real non-smoking room.
The Internet connection can be iffy at Wingate by Wyndham Destin which could be problematic if you are travelling on business or need to get an email out in a hurry. The reception seems to be more consistent in the public spaces, so at least you do have an option.
