Hotel Wildwood Lodge & Suites (Clive, USA)

There's a nice, welcoming, atmosphere here; a great introduction to a hotel where rooms tend to be clean and comfortable. Parking is free.

Breakfast here is free and includes both hot and cold options. Plenty of sausages and egg dishes, plus options to suite everyone. Breakfast is popular, though; so get there early or be prepared to wait for a table. There's no worry regarding later dining. There are a number of varied and well priced restaurants, all within easy reach of the hotel.

Members of staff are great; very friendly and helpful, they do everything possible to ensure that you have a great stay. Many guests have been coming here for years; a testament to the value on offer here.

It's off the University exit of the Interstate and one thing that's well worth learning is that some rooms don't have an outside facing window! Instead, they overlook the indoor pool which is very noisy until very late evening. Show a degree of determination - make sure you get an alternative room!

There isn't room to ‘sit' everyone so, be prepared to stand around waiting for a table to become available.

Dated carpets and dirty old curtains give the game away in some rooms. A pity because, generally, the place is pretty clean.  Other negative issues include that dreaded smell of mould, plus dips in the cleaning routine, lead to dirty carpets and the presence of rubbish belonging to the previous guest.
