Hotel West Coast Suites at UBC (Vancouver, Canada)

Though the location of the hotel is slightly isolated, guests say they are good when having a car to go around to the city. Shops as well as restaurants are only about ten minutes from the hotel and the downtown is not too far either. Guests say that the location is simply lovely for walking.

The suites are nicely done up and boast a stylish look. They are sleek and well planned with a bedroom, kitchen, living and bathroom present. They are also equipped adequately. Guests were pleasantly surprised that the kitchen has a dishwasher too.

Staff is friendly and helpful. The procedures of Check-in and Check-out are handled speedily and efficiently. The housekeeping staff are great at their job. Guests appreciated that suites are cleaned every day and high standards of maintenance are followed.

There is no air conditioning and guests say that their stay gets uncomfortable in hot weather. There are fans but they are insufficient to cool the rooms. Keeping the windows open lets in breeze but it also tends to get noisy from the traffic sounds.

Since the hotel is in the UBC campus guests say that the restaurant options are not great in the campus and they need to go some distance for more delicious options.

The hotel is close to student residences. Consequently the place is subject to a lot of noise with students going in and out of their place. Guests staying on the side of the building close to the bus loop say that it is another source of noise.
