Hotel Wartburg (Stuttgart, Germany)

Efficient without being robotic and courteous without being over familiar; it's easy to see why many guests have identified the performance of the hotel staff as an area most worthy of praise.

As well as being within a comfortable walk of many of the city centre's pre-eminent sights, this hotel is also blessed with having a metro station and a train station located very close by. The latter is particularly handy as it offers a direct route to Stuttgart Airport.

It is fair to say some hotels afford only token gestures when they offer their guests a complimentary breakfast. Happily, that isn't the case here: the Top VCH Wartburg offers a top notch selection of breakfast items, all of which are tasty and well presented.

Many guests have commented that they feel the accommodations in general look and feel a little dated. Indeed, a number of visitors have suggested that some guest rooms even smell a little old-fashioned...

For much of the day, the area around the hotel is relatively quiet. This peace can get turned on its head at night time though as the streets surrounding the hotel often seem to reverberate with party people doing the kind of things party people do after dark. Do yourself a favour and pack some earplugs, just in case.

Don't let the somewhat dated accommodations or wandering late night revellers put you off; this hotel actually does a pretty good job of providing largely enjoyable guest experiences.
