Positive Reviews
positive:
Location is a winner
The SoMa (South of Market) district is centrally located close to the South Beach seafront area and the Bay Bridge. Its proximity to Union Square and the financial district makes it a good fit for those visiting for business/conferences, those interested in art and culture events as well as having plenty of nightlife and dining spots.
positive:
Unique and modern interiors
The atmosphere at the W Hotel San Francisco is colourful, stylish and calming from the guest rooms to the spa, lounges and the sky-lit gym. Sleek furniture, unique lighting and open-plan spaces are the order of the day.
positive:
Excellent wellness facilities
The Bliss Spa offers a wide range of features such as a retail boutique, lounges tailor-made for both men's and women's needs and of course treatment rooms. The gym is naturally lit and futuristic where a personal trainer is available on request and guests can work out twenty-four-seven.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Extra charge for Wi-Fi use
High-speed wireless internet is available in rooms and common areas of the hotel, however this comes at a daily charge for all guests who are not SPG members. There is however a business centre with iPads and printers to print boarding passes, etc.
negative:
Expensive parking and valet service
Although the hotel offers basement parking with a valet service that makes it all quick and easy, a daily charge applies for the use of this which is quite high. An extra fee applies for oversized vehicles. Guests do however have unlimited in/out access each day.
negative:
Early nights at the restaurant
The TRACE restaurant does not stay open late at night so for those coming in after-hours or just hoping for a late dinner, one of the restaurants close by would be a better option.
