Positive Reviews
positive:
Get ready to relax.
Guests described the swimming pool as extremely relaxing. Many guests staying at different times of the year each reported a peaceful pool scene, no matter the season. Million dollar views were just what the doctor ordered, and when guests got tired of the pool, they could head to the fantastic beach for some down time, complete with private coves.
positive:
Room to spread out.
Visitors to Villas D'Água had room to spare, including some units with three levels and two terraces. Guests were able to make themselves at home in spacious accommodation that included plenty of storage and separate dining and living areas.
positive:
Friendly faces.
Guests were greeted by smiling faces at this hotel, and the warm hospitality continued throughout their stay. For many guests, staff made a good impression before they even arrived, with quick and thoughtful responses to e-mails prior to arrival.
Negative Reviews
negative:
TLC might be necessary.
Several guests mentioned items that were in various states of disrepair. The main issue for guests was peeling paint, and unsubstantiated reports indicate that this is being addressed, but other things were clearly in need of a refresh, according to guests. Worn patio and pool furniture, as well as a tired playground didn't impress. A few unlucky guests also had repeat visits from a maintenance person for uncooperative appliances.
negative:
Some amenities might be closed.
Make sure you ask what will be open during your stay. Guests found that the bar and restaurant were sometimes closed during their visit, or had limited hours. The same was true of the spa, and several guests encountered this during times that weren't typically considered off-season.
negative:
Frustrating Wi-Fi.
Guests agreed that Villas D'Água was more of a resort to relax at then to get any work done. Long term guests might be disappointed that Wi-Fi was found to be unreliable.
