Just a two-minute walk.
The promenade, and all it's restaurants and bars, is just a short two-minute walk away. Guests staying at Victoria Hall will find they have very little excuse to head down to the promenade and to watch the glorious sunsets each evening. Chalis Beach is just a little further away, and is the perfect little beach for relaxing.
positive:
Kind and friendly staff.
The members of staff at Hotel Vanilla are friendlier than one would expect. They go out of their way to see to the needs of their guests, and are extremely kind. They offer guests the kind of professionalism one would expect from a five-star hotel, but with a welcome one gets from a small bed & breakfast.
positive:
Excellent pool and gardens.
The surrounding area of Hotel Vanilla is amazing. The garden and pool area have been described as an oasis for those looking to escape the humdrum of city life. Guests will be able to lounge poolside without a care in the world, and forget any of their problems while amongst the green of the leafy garden.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Needs refurbishing.
The internal structures of the rooms require some attention, but the main concern are the showers. There seems to be a problem with the plumbing, or the pipes, as a few guests g=have complained that their taps came off, or the water was inconsistent in temperature. Either way, the problems were quickly dealt with, and solutions were provided.
negative:
Service tag.
For those wishing to have their rooms serviced while they are out and about for the day, such as having the bedding changed, or fresh towels supplied, they had best leave the service tag on the door. No service tag, no service. The rooms will go untouched.
negative:
Contradiction
Each room is supplied with a minifridge, but there are strict rules in place which are hanging on the walls of the hotel, in three languages, which forbids guests from bringing in outside food and drink. If that is the case, then what are the minifridge's for?
