The hotel is ideally situated just a few blocks from Istiklal Street and Taksim Square and about one minute on foot from the local metro station. Guests stated that there is relatively little street noise for a central locale as well.

The first-floor restaurant received high praise from visitors who said that the food was good and the prices reasonable. Others added that there are many very good bars, cafes, and diners in the immediate area as well.

Reviewers who booked the larger apartments felt that the suites were definitely worth the upgrade, particularly for groups or those planning a longer stay. The suites were said to be spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, with the upper-floor rooms giving great views of the city.

Although most guests stated that the accommodations were good, many felt that they were rather basic and not up to the hotel's five-star rating. Reviewers noted that the standard rooms are very small and others added that the pool and spa areas were not as nice as they had expected.

A number of people reported cleanliness and maintenance issues in their rooms and around the building. Problems included mould in the bathrooms, old air conditioning units that were not in good working order, and poor Wi-Fi reception throughout the hotel.
