Positive Reviews
positive:
A good holiday area
The beach is terrific and very close by. Oxxo is the largest convenience store chain in Mexico and there’s a shop right across the road. There are also some good restaurants and a bar. All the ‘holiday’ essentials are accessible – apart from any noisy nightlife. Tulum is a pretty down to earth sort of place, but it always feels safe.

Top marks for Tulum staff
The hotel is competitively priced and very clean. The room is comfortable and the shower is hot. There’s a really nice courtyard where you can flop and chill out. Members of staff are outstandingly friendly, helpful and efficient.
positive:
Parking plus points
Car parking is safe and onsite. The ADO bus station is an easy walk from the hotel. Cycling is popular here and is an easy way to get around the area. The hotel is next to a busy by-pass road but the noise isn’t a real problem.

negative:
Off the beaten track
The hotel is well away from the town centre attractions. Walking time is about 15 minutes and at night, the roads are unlit. ‘Tread’ carefully... the hotel is next to a tyre shop! It’s a not very pleasant walk and when the rain pours down or when the heat becomes intense, it becomes unbearable.
negative:
Start your diet … here and with breakfast
They obviously see breakfast as a target in a programme of cutbacks. Portions are tiny with choices to match. There is free coffee and water in the lobby but that doesn’t help the pangs of hunger which you have when you leave the breakfast room. That lobby coffee, though, is excellent.
negative:
Out of condition air conditioning
Rooms can get very hot indeed; humid too. The air conditioning is ill-equipped to cope with these conditions.
