Not Grand But Will Do
The hotel location will do if you can stomach the time it takes to get to downtown, which is around fifteen-minutes. Overall, the hotel offers value for money if you want to check out Detroit. It's right off the freeway too, so it's not difficult to find. It is also near the Cobo Hall convention center.

Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover
When you first come upon the hotel, you may be ready to do an about-face. The exterior is somewhat dated; however, once inside it's bearable for the price. There's a laundry room and free parking and all the other practical amenities that you can probably use while staying at a hotel. They even have HBO TV.

Props To The Staff
The staff are a nice bunch. They are certainly familiar with the ends and outs of customer service, which makes your stay at the hotel more bearable.

Do You Break In Or Out?
Seeing the reception behind a bullet proof glass may not give you the impression that the environment is safe. It's hard to tell if the precautions are there because something has happened or because something might happen.

An Update Would Help
The hotel has a funny faint cigarette smell. The carpet needs to be cleaned or just gotten rid of altogether. You may find your room somewhat grimy and holes in your bedspread. At least the hotel is quiet, so you will get a good night's sleep. Word has it that the hotel is under a multimillion dollar renovation.

What's With The Heat?
The hot water may run out on you during your visit and the air conditioner gets hot as well. If you are there during the winter, the heater may not provide adequate warmth.
