Hotel Travelodge Gettysburg (Gettysburg, USA)

Superb hotel located right in the village between the two main roads in town within walking distance of almost everything Gettysburg. Park your car by the hotel and walk nearly everywhere. The Jenny Wade Museum is directly across the street as are bus tours. There's a lively pub next door and plenty of shops a stroll away for souvenirs. Just a short ride to Battlefield and the Gettysburg Visitor Center. Clean and comfortable with a nice, filling breakfast with a good selection served daily. Very reasonably priced.

Well-supplied, quiet and immaculate rooms. Beds are supremely comfortable with pillow top mattresses. Lovely patios outside some ground floor units. Parking is convenient and very near your room upon request. Rooms in the main building are preferred by some over the annex.

Friendly and accommodating staff will assure your comfort from arrival to departure. Tell them your preferences for a room at time of booking, and they'll do their best to find you the perfect spot.

Forgetful staff sometimes didn't follow through on their guest assurances. Some had requested a call when their room was ready and didn't get one; others were distressed by staff making copies of their credit card and driver's license to keep behind the desk until check-out. When others had an ant problem, night staff went in and sprayed vinegar, acting annoyed that guests had complained at all. Early check-in arrangements made months in advance were not kept at time of arrival.

The premises are a bit dated in appearance, and the floor seems to sink in some areas.

Noisy AC, hallway light shines in around door at night, sink stoppers won't close and tissue box located outside the bathroom.
