Take a dip in the pool
Guests liked the fact that most of the time the pool wasn't busy and that there was nostalgic music playing in the background. They also enjoyed using the poolside cabanas and the pool bar, which even serves snacks during the week. Children were able to wade in the shallow end, and guests enjoyed the special touches such as the waterfall and the changing lights in the water.

positive:
Nice rooms
The rooms include a small kitchen, premium toiletries, comfortable beds and individual temperature controls.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Housekeeping inconsistent
Some guests noted that housekeeping showed up in unreliable intervals and beds were not always made, trash wasn't picked up, and items like towels and toilet papers weren't replaced.
negative:
Location a bit remote
The hotel is located at the Western end of Seawall Boulevard with only a go-kart center, a movie theater and a miniature golf course within walking distance. The rock-walled beach near the property isn't meant for swimming, so you'll have to walk to the Seawall to enjoy a sandy beach and a dip in the ocean. However, this picturesque location is a 5-minute drive away, and you'll also have to drive 15 minutes to get to historic Galveston.
negative:
Great breakfast buffet in theory
The breakfast area tends to get crowded quickly, and typical items being served included boiled eggs, sausage patties, bagels, fruit, cereal and coffee and milk. However, guests reported that items ran out quickly and were often not replaced, especially during the busy summer season.
